Prosper Okpue; Nigerian Insurance Administrator, recipient of awards in insurance management, the industry which he joined in 1978. Okpue is the Chief Executive Officer of Insurance Brokers of Nigeria (IBN), the foremost insurance broking outfit in the country. IBN is a part of the MARSH Group, the largest insurance and risk management advisor worldwide, with headquarters in New York.
Okpue attended General Insurance Management Course (1976) at the University of Nottingham and the Chartered Insurance Institute, England; Risk Management Concepts and Techniques course (1977) at the Chartered Insurance Institute College of Insurance, Surbiton; Surrey Marine Insurance Course (1977) at Richard Hoggs International, London; Offshore Captives and Insurance Administration Course (1979) at Agip Milan, Italy; and Management Development Course (1982) at Ashridge Management College, England. Okpue was also a President of the umbrella body of insurance brokers in the country, the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB).
