Jim Ijenwa UNAH (PhD) is the First University Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the University of Lagos. He was recently the Visiting Faculty Dean, Faculty of Arts, Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria, and formerly the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) at the Premier University of Sao Tome and Principe, Gulf of Guinea, Central African Republic. A consummate and versatile scholar, Unah is author of over 30 books, over 50 chapters in books, and over 30 articles in high impact learned journals published at home and abroad. He has 5 invited lectures at the Oxford Roundtable of the University of Oxford, Oxford, England, and 2 invited lectures at the National Kapodistrian University, Athens, Greece.

Jim Unah was the Editor of The Nigerian Journal of Philosophy in the late 1990s, later became Editor of Philosophy and Praxis. With specialization in Philosophy, his expertise and research interests traverse the fields of Metaphysics, Phenomenology, African Philosophy, Applied Ontology, Logic, Development Philosophy, and Peace, Ethics, and Character Studies. Jim Unah is Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (FNAL), Fellow of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (FNARC), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (FCILG), Fellow and President of the Philosophers Association of Nigeria (FPAN), Consultant and Resource person to UNESCO and Expert at the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab.
