Gboluji Grammar School

Gboluji Grammar School was established in 1954 through the communal effort of Ile-Oluji people. In latter years, the school’s administrative powers had been ingeniously transferred to Ondo state government. Gboluji is prided as been the producer of the host town’s first general interest newspaper. The school has produced eminent persons.

The school foot field was the site, in 2012, of a fracas caused by a rampaging fan of a street football team, which caused some injuries and claimed the life of one.

The face of Gboluji Anglican School, Ile-Oluji had been lifted in recent times, due to the intervention of one of its alumnus, Olusegun Mimiko, as governor of Ondo State. Other important Nigerians such as a one time Inspector General of the Nigerian Police, Sunday Ehindero and scientist, Akinwale Ojo were students too.
