FGC Odogbolu was established 1973 in Odogbolu town in Ogun state. As a Unity school, FGC Odogbolu was one of the first, built by the Federal Government as one of its post-Civil War resolutions. Admission into this school is through a fairly competitive unified examination.

There are four dormitories also classified as sport houses, named after the major rivers in Nigeria. With a standard lawn tennis court, and other facilities spread over the large expanse of land, the school retains in part, the proud history it enjoys as one of the most coveted in its region.
