FUTA Sec located in Oba-Kekere sub-campus, Federal University of Technology, Akure, is a Secondary school for boys and girls, established in November 1994 as the parent University’s venture. Federal University of Technology Akure had before then ran a primary school. A suitable option for locals, F.U.T.A. Sec, as it is informally called, has the University academic culture diffused into the secondary school. Pupils are therefore expected to get prepared, with the school’s experiences, for the undergraduate life. Efforts at introducing a boarding system was relaxed for a long time.
