International School Lagos

International School Lagos is the staff secondary school of the University of Lagos, established in 1981 within the University campus Akoka, Yaba, Lagos. This came as sequel to the elementary school that served primarily to educate staff children. Barely four years after the school founding, operations had commenced in its permanent site. Expectedly, the school enjoys some facilities of the University that owned it. In an apparent act of borrowing from recent practices in Nigerian Universities, ISL conducts Aptitude Tests for already successful candidates as a final selection process for entrance into the school.

Although the school is the responsibility of the University, the governing body, in conjunction with parents association has recently mapped out plans to upgrade the school’s facilities. International School Lagos is counted among the elite non-private secondary schools in its region.
