Igbobi College

Igbobi College

Igbobi College, located in Isaac John’s street, Lagos, was founded in 1932, in response to the changing colonial education code. Authorities of the Anglican CMS and the Wesleyan Methodist Mission, being convinced of the effectiveness of an academic environment under Christian influence had designed a spacious community that will house both students and instructors but the school’s objectives were not fully put to play until after the second World War, when expatriate stakeholders of the school were no longer incapacitated.

Been one of the pioneer schools, Igbobi College have had to make do with changing government policies that came with the Nigerian Oil boom era. The school’s proud tradition however continues to distinguish it among the avalanche of new colleges that characterized modern times.
